This policy explains what personal information Livina Digital collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it in plain English on purpose - if anything here isn't clear, just ask.
1. What information we collect
When you contact us through our website, a Facebook/Instagram or Google advert, or a form, we collect the details you give us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your trade or business type
- Your approximate budget
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your message
We only ask for what we need to understand your enquiry and get back to you. We do not collect any sensitive personal data, and we never ask for passwords or payment card details through our website forms.
2. Why we collect it and our legal basis
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry - to contact you, answer your questions, prepare a free audit or a quote, and take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Provide our services - if you become a client, to deliver and manage the marketing work you've asked us to do.
- Send you relevant updates - only where you've agreed to receive them.
Under UK data protection law, our legal basis for handling your enquiry is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and running our business, and taking steps at your request before a contract. For any marketing messages, our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. What we will never do
- We will never sell your information to anyone.
- We will not use your details for anything other than what's described here.
- We won't bombard you - if you enquire, we contact you about that enquiry, and that's it unless you ask for more.
4. Who we share it with
We keep your information to ourselves as far as possible. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can do that job for us. These include:
- Our website hosting and email providers, so we can receive and reply to your message.
- The tools we use to store and manage enquiries (our secure database and workflow systems).
- Advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, where you contacted us through one of their adverts - these operate under their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep it
If you enquire but don't go on to work with us, we keep your details for up to 24 months in case you get back in touch, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
6. Cookies and advertising
Our website itself does not set tracking cookies. If you reach us by clicking a Facebook, Instagram or Google advert, those platforms may set their own cookies to measure the advert's performance - this is covered by their privacy policies, and where required we'll ask for your consent first.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to stop or limit how we use it
- Object to us using it, or withdraw your consent to marketing
- Ask us to transfer your information to another provider
To exercise any of these, just email us at info@livinadigital.co.uk and we'll sort it out, usually within one month.
8. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
